Or not. “Miley Cyrus faces eviction from trailer park for refusing to stop defecating in he neighbors yard” was just one fake news headline created as part of an elaborate prank to convince one man he had spent ten years in a coma after drinking and driving, again.
We all know not to drink and drive. Driving Under the Influence can lead to costly tickets, jail time, problems at work – if not death, manslaughter charges, disability, and crippling life-long guilt. DUI is nothing to joke about – except when there just isn’t any other way to get your message through.
This man had 5 DUIs. His coworkers, friends, and family wanted to keep it from becoming 6 DUIs, or worse, and was taken the morning after he passed out drunk in his truck. Apparently, they just didn’t think they could get through to him any other way.
The picture only looks like a hospital. It’s actually an office that’s been set up to look like a hospital room, with actors and actresses pretending to be medical staff. It was an impressive effort with a lot of attention to detail, and it’s worth reading more about. (Did you notice the IV bag hanging behind him?) The pranksters did receive permission from his family first, but lets hear it for thinking outside the box! They may just have saved some lives.
Merry Christmas! Remember not to drink and drive, and to keep your friends and family from drinking and driving this holiday season, even if you have to convince them they spent a decade in a coma.
